José Manuel has a degree in Business Administration and 30 years of experience in banking. The top 10 in risk of all types of customer segment. And the following 20 years in cost management tasks, supplier management and IT purchases.

In the first phase, he developed the cost control and purchasing area for Latin America in 1999. Subsequently, as part of the global costs area, it organised the global purchasing function for the whole of Santander Group. Including, in addition to Latin America, Europe and North America, managing transactions of more than $1B per year.

His responsibility included managing the relationship of the large IT suppliers with Santander Group, as well as centralising all the demand for their products, their negotiation and contracting.
